Divas in AI is a growing community dedicated to increasing the participation of women in artificial intelligence across Africa. The organization provides training, mentorship, research opportunities, and collaborative programs that help women learn, build, and deploy AI solutions. Divas in AI aims to empower women with the technical skills, confidence, and professional support needed to succeed in the AI ecosystem.

Our mission is to train 5,000 women in AI by 2030 through mentorship, practical training programs, innovation challenges, and research engagement. We aim to become the leading community supporting female AI talent while promoting education, inclusivity, and gender equality in the technology ecosystem.

Women remain significantly underrepresented in artificial intelligence and technology fields globally. In many AI-related spaces, female participation ranges between 20–30%. Divas in AI was created to close this gender gap by providing accessible learning opportunities, mentorship, and supportive communities that empower women to actively contribute to AI innovation.

Divas in AI is led by Deborah Arthur, the Director of the organization. She works alongside a leadership team and volunteers who coordinate programs, partnerships, research initiatives, and community activities to support women pursuing careers in AI and technology.

The Divas in AI community is open to women and girls interested in artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and emerging technologies. Members include students, professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and individuals who want to start or transition into AI-related careers.

We organize mentorship sessions, community discussions, and webinars that connect aspiring women in tech with working professionals. These sessions cover career guidance, practical learning pathways, industry insights, and advice on navigating opportunities in the tech space
